Casa Hogar para Niñas Madre Conchita is an all-girls orphanage in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. Casa Hogar was founded in 1922 by Maria Concepción Macias, who became affectionately known as “Madre Conchita”.

 

Casa Hogar functions not as an institution, but rather as a large home where our girls are taught to treat each other respectfully and love each other as sisters. Sister Oliva of the Congregation that currently supports Casa Hogar serves as the mother to all the girls, guiding them in their everyday decisions on all aspects of their development (socially, spiritually, and emotionally). Since we have a large number of girls under our care at any given time, the Board of Directors hires staff to do the cooking, cleaning, laundry, bathing and after school lessons and homework so the Sisters can focus on providing moral and religious guidance and support.
